MAKING COMPLEX TECHNOLOGY UNDERSTANDABLE

Thales Cryogenics is the European leader in cryogenic technology and supplier of high-tech cryogenic coolers. They supply the most demanding markets, whether in military, aerospace or industrial applications. A new innovation is a state-of-the-art cryogenic cooler for infrared sensors in security cameras. Traditional coolers often don't work for long periods of time, causing security cameras to fail with all the risks that entails. However, how do you explain this new technology and make the benefits of this high-tech solution visible? C4Real brought the solution: via 3D animation.

THE SOLUTION: 3D ANIMATION

In de 3D animatie wordt de nieuwe innovatie in de brede context geplaatst. In een omgeving van een kerncentrale, in het donker en met zogenoemde ‘meta-humans’ die er met doelgerichte stappen aan komen lopen, zodat de context en de hoge urgentie van de oplossing zichtbaar en voelbaar wordt - het gevaar is immers dichtbij. Om deze urgentie verder te verhogen, is de 3D animatie voorzien van een gecomponeerde audio. Met geluiden die de spanning opbouwen wordt het gevoel van urgentie nog groter. Daarbij gebeurt alles in het donker. Technisch gezien maakte dit het voor C4Real mogelijk om met licht te spelen en mooie effecten te creëren. Conceptueel wordt hierdoor de film nog spannender, maar ook reëler. De precieze pulsetube technologie wordt in het midden van de animatie met additionele motion graphics nader uitgelegd. Tot slot wordt de gehele 3D animatie gebracht als één van de nieuwste innovaties van Thales Cryogenics met een duidelijke overall branding van het bedrijf.
