Online event to explain a complex innovation

As a global leader in speciality chemicals, Nouryon supplies products including ingredients for paint and coatings for buildings and other surfaces. For the communication of various product innovations, Nouryon was looking for a distinctive way to convey them to customers all over the world. A physical trade fair was not possible. How do you solve that? C4Real came up with a total concept: a complete online event supported by impressive films and animations.

How do you reach a large audience when travel is not possible or allowed?

The solution: an online live event

C4Real organized with the cooperating partners Trimm and Studio Say Yeah a successful online event. The online event for Nouryon consisted of an impressive program in which a host talked about various subjects in a nice way. In addition to a catchy intro film, various animations were used to support the program and to convey the complexity of the product innovations. These innovations were then explained in detail by experts. Incoming questions from the audience were answered in a Q&A session. The event was completely in the style and branding of Nouryon. The decoration of the event was taken care of down to the smallest details. This gave the participants an unforgettable impression and the employees of Nouryon a proud feeling.

The process

Setting up an online event is not an easy thing. The goal was not only to inform existing customers about the new product innovations, but also to generate new leads. Therefore, for activation purposes a campaign was also conducted towards the event. C4Real helped with the design of the e-mail marketing and the ticketing process. We worked together in a pleasant way to get the CRM and mailing list in order. During the event, C4Real monitored participation and after the event the response of other channels such as LinkedIn was visualized. This makes the result of the event measurable. In the end the client was completely assisted from A to Z in a pleasant, constructive way.

The end result

The end result is impressive. The online event has shown that this is a good solution to have interaction with the target group and to generate quality leads. At a physical fair it is much harder to qualify leads, because you often don't know who will be there. Visitors walk around the stand and do not always make themselves known, and you therefore miss their contact details. An online event solves this. Moreover, the Q&A gives insight into the customer needs and account management can follow this up perfectly. Because of the recording of the event, it can be used again for further marketing and sales purposes.

The online event therefore offers the opportunity to generate new leads quickly and powerfully, to a broad and global audience, and to enter into dialogue with them so responding precisely to their needs. This is in Corona times, but also when traveling for other reasons (sustainability/CO2 footprint, cost aspect of a physical exhibition, etc.) is not possible or desirable.
