Sell more products thanks to a 3D product explorer

How nice it would be if every customer would read your entire product catalog from A to Z, including detailed descriptions of the various features. And then, so enthusiastic, they immediately place multiple orders. Oh well, we can always keep dreaming…

Back in the real world, marketers are busy looking for the ideal solution to get as much relevant information to the customer as efficiently as possible. We marketers, yes I am one too, know that no customer is waiting for lengthy product descriptions. Your target audience wants to get to the heart of the message quickly. Within seconds, they decide whether the information is relevant to them. Therefore, it is very important to grab and hold their attention. For example, by visually demonstrating what you actually do.

Communicate the added value

Especially manufacturers of products that are difficult to understand or that are hidden somewhere in a larger whole often struggle to communicate their added value. For example, CIREX is a manufacturer of metal auto parts, such as the housing of fuel pumps and door closing mechanisms. These are all components that are 'invisible' in the bigger picture. They were looking for a tool that would allow them to communicate about their products quickly and clearly.

In collaboration with the advertising agency Twentse Storm, C4Real developed a 3D product explorer for CIREX. With this tool, CIREX’s (potential) customers can essentially look through a car or truck and see at a glance how CIREX's products are applied. This way, customers are informed about all their products in an efficient manner, and the added value of their products in the bigger picture is immediately clear. They not only create clear product descriptions but also generate an additional sales opportunity because customers can immediately see which other products they offer. Knowledge transfer and sales conversion in one.

Ideal for presenting large products

You can use a 3D product explorer on a website but also offline. Imagine you have a product that is large in size, like Field in a box from TenCate. This is literally a football field in a large container. Much too big to take to, for example, a trade show or customer visit. Still, you want to show it there to excite people. That’s possible!

TenCate can now give trade fair visitors and customers on-site a very good impression of how such a field looks. Without taking a step, every meter of the field can be inspected. It is also possible to look underneath the field, thereby focusing on the water filtration system. A great tool to create a wow moment for stand visitors.

Everything is possible

The 3D product explorer can be used in various ways. For example, take it with you to sales meetings or trade shows and make it part of your product catalog. You can implement the 3D product explorer on your website without visitors needing to download a plug-in. This removes a significant barrier, the downloading of unknown software.

Whether you want the product to rotate 360 degrees, want to pull it apart (the so-called exploded view), or want to zoom in deeply: anything is possible. You can also easily highlight certain points. For example, a pop-up can appear with extra information when zooming in on a specific component. A link can also be placed here to a white paper or an installation video, which promotes your content marketing. Measure in real-time how your users interact with the tool and use this data to better align your marketing and R&D with your customers' needs!
