VR Training at Hannover Messe surprises Prince Constantine and Minister Kamp

Prince Constantine and Minister Kamp experienced Virtual Reality (VR) training from Serious VR and C4Real early this week at the world's largest industrial fair, Hannover Messe.

The Twente companies Serious VR and C4Real are collaborating in creating Virtual Reality software to train craftsmen in industrial environments via training in a simple and more efficient way. Central to the training are visualizations and gamification for delivering digitized work training. Companies such as Apollo Vredestein, Thales and Diversey are already using the VR training of Serious VR, a startup of Novel-T. In doing so, they are fulfilling the role of launching customer for Serious VR.

Collaboration helps Serious VR move forward

Close cooperation with Novel-T, Twente Branding, Mikrocentrum and Brainport Industries ensures good exposure on the international market. For example, Serious VR is on the Holland High Tech pavilion at the Hannover Messe in Hall 8, which attracts as many as 200,000 visitors. Twente companies, among others, are showing what they have to offer here.

In cooperation with Oost NV, the well-attended presentation "VR: hype or serious business?" on AR (augmented reality) and VR was held at the fair. In it it becomes clear that Virtual Reality is certainly no longer hype, it will completely change the way of development and training in the industry. This is supported by the attention and direction of large multinationals and family businesses that are betting on the applications with the technology. For Serious VR a great opportunity and already successful due to the positive reactions and concrete leads.

High visit at Hannover Messe

Prince Constantijn (StartupDelta), State Secretary Dekker of Education and Minister Kamp of Economic Affairs visited Serious VR's exhibition stand early this week and experienced VR training for themselves. Prince Constantijn was pleasantly surprised by the Apollo Vredestein VR training: "Good that you can move and take actions in space and not be a spectator. That's better than the other applications I've seen." Minister Kamp was also impressed.

In addition to the attention received, Serious VR was chosen Monday to participate in "Meet the Giants." An initiative organized by High Tech NL where big companies like Philips, Void and Lenze are matched with startups, to talk about growth and cooperation. A nice compliment for Serious VR.
