THE CHALLENGE OF TENCATE

Every organization will recognize it: in order to communicate optimally with each other and function as a team, information management must be in order. It is often the case that information is partly hidden in people's heads, and partly in systems and folders on laptops and desktops. The desire of materials technology group TenCate was to unlock the core information and make it visual as an overarching umbrella of content, so that stakeholders and interested parties continue to access and immediately understand the message of the corporate story.

An interactive solution

We created a virtual showroom: an interactive, visual representation of TenCate's entire business model in 3D. In this 'digital factory' colleagues and (potential) customers can easily find the most important information of propositions, solutions and techniques. The digital visitor starts at the entrance to TenCate's virtual building. From there you can click on the various divisions and enter the virtual process environment. There the visitor will find all the visual and textual information about this division, such as TenCate Grass. So this section contains all the information about production processes, semi-finished or finished products, business cases and product characteristics, among other things. At the same time, you can also go outside to experience solutions digitally: in and around an aircraft, on the battlefield, above and under water, in and out of fire. In this way, the inner world of the TenCate group is made visible to the interested outside world.

The result of creating this visual experience cannot be expressed in terms of value. Indeed, when we started, it was not equally clear to all colleagues what the unified story to the market could be, precisely because this multinational had so many different divisions worldwide. By capturing the overarching storyline in moving and static images, you as supplier and client are forced to get the story right together. That whole process, plus the final interactive showroom, helped us tremendously in our external as well as internal communication."

It's important that we both speak the same language, because only if you both understand what you want to achieve in detail and you both contribute your own knowledge and expertise can you achieve this beautiful end result.
