Kennispark Twente in Enschede is the most complete and entrepreneurial high-tech innovation campus in the Netherlands. University of Twente, 430 innovative companies, groundbreaking research and an extraordinary number of facilities in one area make it a success. The role of Kennispark Twente and Novel-T is to continuously challenge all stakeholders to keep innovating and stay ahead. The Smart Industry concept is a good example of this. By now this term is known to most stakeholders, but it had to be explained and loaded first. Kennispark Twente engaged C4Real to do this.

Explaining in a stimulating way

The actual question was to create an awareness film for technology companies, particularly in the eastern Netherlands. While brainstorming about how to flesh it out, it quickly emerged that it had to be very basic. That means starting by explaining what Smart Industry is and what components go with it. Then some examples fit best with that, because that is the proof of Smart Industry. And, of course, plans for the future. This was worked out in a stimulating way in a film incorporating 2D and 3D animations.
