Kennispark Twente in Enschede is the most complete and enterprising high-tech innovation campus in the Netherlands. The University of Twente, 430 innovative companies, groundbreaking research, and a remarkable number of facilities in one area make it a success. The role of Kennispark Twente and Novel-T is to continuously challenge all stakeholders to innovate further and stay ahead. The Smart Industry concept is a good example of this. This term is now well known among most stakeholders, but it first needed to be explained and loaded. For this, Kennispark Twente enlisted the help of C4Real.
The actual question was to make an awareness film for technology companies, particularly in East Netherlands. While brainstorming about the content, it soon became clear that it needed to be very basic. This means starting with an explanation of what Smart Industry is and which components are involved. Then, a few examples best fit there, as that is the proof of Smart Industry. And of course, the plans for the future. This has been elaborated in a thought-provoking way in a film that features 2D and 3D animations.
In the animated film made by C4Real for Kennispark Twente, it is clearly visualised and explained what Smart Industry actually means. How it already works in practice for the pioneers in various sectors and what the elements are that shape Smart Industry. As a result, the viewer is inspired to also become part of the forward-looking concept. And that is exactly the intention: technology companies must see a role for themselves in Smart Industry. That has been achieved. The awareness surrounding the concept has grown significantly, Smart Industry has now become part of the management vision of most high-tech companies in Eastern Netherlands. This way, Kennispark Twente remains a pioneer in Europe and the world.
