Dura Vermeer. A prominent family business operating nationally with activities in residential construction, non-residential construction, infrastructure, and technology. A company that has been around for over 165 years. C4Real was commissioned to create the corporate film for the company, focusing on the motivations of Dura Vermeer. Not to showcase the construction projects Dura Vermeer is involved in, as most people are already aware of that, but rather to tell the why and value behind the story of Dura Vermeer.

The film is often shown by the company to stakeholders and clients, and they need to feel what the company actually is and stands for. Good storytelling helps not only to engage the audience but also to make a statement about yourself. For Dura Vermeer, it's not about short-term projects and making quick profits. No, it's about the long term, creating value with themes such as sustainability, pleasant and healthy living and working, digitalisation, diversity and inclusion, innovation, and a safe infrastructure. Where collaboration with the customer is considered, and partnerships are formed to work on the society of tomorrow.

C4Real has structured its process with a concept and production phase following the intake. Throughout the entire process, there is continuous alignment. Glenn Metselaar, Head of Corporate Communications at Dura Vermeer: ‘You also need to have a click with each other. Glenn continues: 'Based on the briefing, work first begins on a concept. Through scripts, storyboards, and style frames, you know exactly what you will get in the concept phase. This way, you agree on it together, and with the storyboards, it is presented well internally to the stakeholders. Even in the execution, which involves the actors, music, locations, and so forth; all aspects are well thought out during the process. Finally, there is a clear 'final close': this is how we do it, and we stick to the plan. This prevents extra costs later on and ensures that you are not caught by surprise. That is not the case with C4Real. They have never missed a deadline!'

The corporate value film tells the story of a family. A family that comes into contact with the projects of Dura Vermeer in daily life. At home, at work, and on the go. The world is changing and seems to never stand still. This requires continuous adjustment, agility, and improvement of everything around us, for a better world. The corporate film consists of a film production, involving a large film crew including a director, cameraman, production manager, head of lighting and technical staff, and so on, and it has been recorded with HQ camera gear. The film footage has then been upgraded with 3D animations and motion graphics. The whole is supported by a directed voice-over and a piece of music composed specifically for this film.
