THE CHALLENGE
digiGO plays a directing role in connecting supply chain parties and stimulating digital supply chain collaboration: the sector itself determines the steps by which it develops into a digital ecosystem, in which data flows faster, more securely, and more easily. That is a grand ambition in a sector that is historically traditional and perceives change as difficult.
The complexity of this transition lies in the fact that it affects organisations not only internally, but also has an impact within the supply chains – between parties. In addition, it does not only impact the technology they apply (systems and software), but also touches upon their business model and strategy, their processes internally and in the chain – and the skills of their employees. Furthermore, the change requires attention throughout the entire organisation, from strategic and tactical, to operational level.
The challenge for digiGO is therefore to make this – still largely abstract – change land in manageable blocks within current and future ways of working. How do you make a good connection between conceptual components of a digital infrastructure, such as standards and digital systems, and daily practice?
THE SOLUTION
As a first step in a broader visualisation strategy, C4Real developed a 3D visualisation and animation that clearly and accessibly depicts the ultimate goal of digiGO – a well-functioning digital ecosystem. The goal: a beacon on the horizon. And to generate interest, create understanding, and build support among the various target groups in the sector for this purpose.
By transforming the abstract world of digital chain collaboration into a visual and concrete story, digiGO's message becomes understandable for everyone in the chain for the first time — regardless of background or digital knowledge.
In the subsequent phase, various visual solutions will be developed and deployed to provide more context and recognition for diverse target groups based on concrete examples and use cases, so they can more easily recognise and adopt the digital transition.
THE RESULT
The visualisation makes digiGO's complex proposition understandable for all partners and companies in the OBT sector within a very short space of time, and provides starting points for discussion. This creates more support for digiGO's vision, and parties are more open to contributing to the digital transition sooner and faster. It sets in motion a sector-wide transformation process, in which target groups at all levels are taken along to a digital ecosystem in which they all play a role.
