The specialist in visualisations for Water

Your visualisation partner for water safety and water technology

Water has two communication challenges that seem to have nothing to do with each other, but require the same solution. A dyke reinforcement product like TenCate Geotube® is functionally indispensable, but anything but photogenic — it is mainly used in dirty, underground conditions where nobody sees it. Water technology makes perfect sense to an engineer, but only becomes valuable to a customer or distributor once they see what the process actually does.

That gap costs understanding among infra specialists who do not know what a product can do, and time in the sales process for water technology. C4Real closes that gap with 3D animations and virtual showrooms that translate earthworks, flood defences and process technology into a visual language that everyone understands. We work for water boards, geosynthetics companies and water technology companies that want to have a dyke reinforcement visualisation, process animation or virtual showroom made for tenders, participation processes or sales processes.

Why visualisations are essential

Visualisations make flood safety and technology tangible.

In the water sector, you don't just sell or justify a project or product. You sell the conviction that a solution works, even if no one can see it with their own eyes. That requires more than a technical drawing or a product datasheet.

C4Real has been working for years on visualisations that do exactly that. For TenCate Geosynthetics, we recreated various situations in 3D — water filtration installations, a port under construction, a dyke under construction — to show how Geotube® works as a dewatering method and as reinforcement for dykes, dams and dunes: a product that in reality is never photogenic. For Nijhuis Saur Industries, we built an interactive virtual showroom together with Flootech that makes the water cycle for the pulp and paper industry — from recycling to biogas production — visual and understandable for mills worldwide.

In any case, the result is the same: a product or process that no one can easily see with the naked eye becomes manageable, a sales conversation that gets to the point faster, and a communication tool that continues to work long after the tender or the trade fair is over.

Our Services

With the use of visual technologies that make the difference

At C4Real, we use 3D animations, virtual showrooms and interactive visualisations to make water safety products and water technology understandable for the people who make decisions about them. A 3D animation shows how a product like Geotube® works in situations you normally never get to see — underground, underwater or under construction. A virtual showroom makes a water technology portfolio searchable and accessible to customers worldwide, as with Nijhuis Saur Industries. We prefer to work from existing technical material — CAD files, engineering drawings or product specifications — which makes the process more efficient and the end result more accurate.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most frequently asked
questions about infra visualisations

What are the benefits of a dyke reinforcement visualisation for water boards and producers?

Anyone who uses a dyke reinforcement visualisation sees three concrete benefits. More understanding: functionality that normally remains invisible — such as a geotextile working underground — becomes visible for the first time. Stronger tenders or participation processes: presentation material that clearly explains how it works gives decision-makers the understanding that is needed. Highly versatile: the same animation works on the website, in sales pitches, and during trade fairs.

How do you make a product that isn't photogenic still look convincing?

Some products are functionally indispensable but visually unappealing — they are used in dirty, underground, or underwater situations where no one sees them. TenCate Geosynthetics encountered this with Geotube®: photos and text did not do justice to the product's versatility. C4Real recreated various applications in 3D — a water filtration plant, a harbour under construction, a dyke being built — making the product's operation and added value truly visible for the first time.

For which communication moments do water technology companies use visualisations?

The most common applications are: product launches where an animation shows what a new technology does in a short space of time. International sales pitches where a virtual showroom allows customers to navigate through a portfolio independently, such as at Nijhuis Saur Industries, where mills worldwide gain insight into complex water treatment solutions via a single interactive environment. And tenders where 3D animations demonstrate the versatility of a technical product.

How does an animation support the participation process in a dyke reinforcement?

A dyke reinforcement project within the HWBP (Flood Protection Programme) involves several stages: the exploration phase, the public consultation round, and the plan development. An animation supports each stage. Upon initial introduction, a short animation explains which technique is being applied and why — for example, how a solution like Geotube® can strengthen a dyke. During the consultation round, a clear visualisation gives local residents and administrators the opportunity to understand what will happen in practice, even if the technique itself is literally invisible beneath the ground.

How does a visualisation project at C4Real work?

C4Real works in two phases. In the first phase, concept and design, we translate the communication issue into a visual approach. At the end of this phase, C4Real delivers a tangible concept for the client to feedback on. Only then does the second phase begin: production.

What does a dyke reinforcement animation or water technology visualisation cost?

The costs depend on the complexity of the project, the desired level of detail and the application. C4Real works with a menu of solution levels. Please get in touch for an informal discussion.
